The "Société Belge des Bétons" (SBB)/ "Belgische Betonmaatschappij" (BBM) signs contracts for prestigious construction projects.
1922
SBB sets up subsidiaries in France and Spain.

SBB enters the West African market.
1965
The 6 companies of SBB Group form Six Construct to manage projects in the Middle East. Six Construct receives the first contract in the UAE, building the Abu Dhabi corniche.
1967
Six Construct enters Qatar, and starts building a deep-water harbour in Doha.
1968
First project in Saudi Arabia, constructing port of Dammam.
1973
The list of references in the Middle East and Africa expands rapidly.
1975
Start of Six Construct Ltd, with HQ in Sharjah. First project in Sharjah: National Cement Factory.
1982
SBB takes over companies in the 3 Belgian regions: Entreprises Jacques Delens, Wust & Vanhout.
1990
The Group enters the Eastern European market with projects in Russia, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Re-entry into the Netherlands.

Re-entry into Egypt.

One of the tallest buildings in the Arabian Gulf is built, the Baynunah Tower in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Leveraged Management Buy-Out Launch of new corporate identity: SBB becomes BESIX Group.

Emirates Palace is completed in Abu Dhabi, built by Six Construct.
2009
BESIX Group celebrates 100 years of expertise.
2010
Inauguration of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the world's tallest building, proudly built by BESIX.
2011
BESIX Group wins its first contract in Australia.
2015
BESIX celebrates 50 years of presence in the Middle East.
2017
Rik Vandenberghe is appointed as new CEO of BESIX Group. Johan Beerlandt succeeds Baron Jean Stéphenne as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

BESIX announces the acquisition of the main Belgian activities of the Dutch group Heijmans.
2018
BESIX strengthens its position in Australia through the acquisition of the contruction company Watpac Ltd..
2019
Six Constuct is awarded the contract to build the first super tall tower in the Uptown Dubai district.
2019
BESIX officially launches its 3D concrete printing studio in Dubai.
2020
Six Construct proceeds with the realisation of the French and Belgian Pavilions for the Dubai World Expo.
2020
Six Construct is involved in the Design, Build, Finance & Maintenance contract of one of the world’s largest waste-to-energy plants, the Warson Waste-to-Energy, in Dubai.
2021
Pierre Sironval succeeds Rik Vandenberghe as Deputy CEO, later CEO, of BESIX Group.
2021
The Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi awards the main construction contract for the Guggenheim Museum to a joint venture between Six Construct and Trojan General Contracting LLC. Both partners also take over the construction of the Zayed National Museum the same year.
2022
The Abu Dhabi Investment Office and the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge award the contract for the Zayed City Schools public-private partnership (PPP) project to a consortium led by BESIX and Plenary Group.
2023
Six Construct delivers the Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences project.
