​BESIX secures new contract for a hyperscale data center in Wallonia

As reliance on data continues to grow, data centers are becoming essential to ensuring the continuity of digital services. In Wallonia, BESIX is actively contributing to this momentum through a new project for a leading international player.

As part of a temporary joint venture with Jan De Nul, BESIX is responsible for the foundation works and underground utilities of the new data center. This scope is complemented by civil and structural works, the building envelope, and landscaping, resulting in a fully integrated project delivery.

As with previous data centers, the project is being delivered on an accelerated schedule. Fast-track delivery of complex facilities requires disciplined processes, transparent collaboration, and comprehensive interface management. BESIX teams are working closely with demanding operators and key stakeholders to ensure consistent and predictable outcomes.

Designed for continuous operation, these infrastructures require high levels of resilience, security, and availability, along with rigorous execution standards. This project fully demonstrates BESIX’s ability to meet these requirements, delivering complex infrastructure within tight timelines through robust engineering and controlled execution.
