The company's journey in the Middle East began in 1965, and its continuous pursuit of innovation and sustainability has positioned us as a driving force in the region's construction and infrastructure landscape.

BESIX is a pioneer in waste management solutions, firmly positioned at the forefront of sustainable practices and environmental stewardship in the Middle East. Our extensive involvement in waste management projects reflects our unwavering dedication to waste reduction whilst promoting a circular economy. Furthermore, our active engagement in the water and wastewater management sector contributes significantly to the sustainable management of precious water resources in the region.

Our commitment extends to our infrastructure projects and integrating green technologies and design principles that minimize energy consumption, conserve water, and reduce waste. With our partners and stakeholders, we strive to create a sustainable future for the Middle East that benefits generations to come.

"Delivering positive change for our communities and the environment requires innovative solutions and collaboration. This is why we place a strong emphasis on partnering with those who share our passion and vision for a sustainable future," said BESIX General Manager Peter Lembrechts.

BESIX demonstrated its commitment to sustainability, the energy transition, and the green economy by actively participating in COP 28, which took place in Dubai, UAE, in December.

Notably, the Belgian Prime Minister visited our Warsan Waste-to-Energy project, highlighting our dedication to innovative waste management solutions that reduce environmental impact.
