Bahrain’s new LNG Import Terminal was designed to meet the Kingdom’s increasing demand for gas to fuel its industrial and urban development. At the end of 2015, Six Construct was awarded the contract to design and build the marine structures, which consist of a double berth jetty for FSU and LNG carriers, protected by a 500-m-long and 15-m-deep breakwater. The design phase was carried out by BESIX Engineering. The Final Notice To Proceed, received mid-November 2016, started the deployment of our site team mobilized to overcome the challenges of this offshore project.
